I am still alive. Just that a lot have been going on in my life now, and hence this dwindling frequency of posts. Thanks for checking back on this blog, I promise to get back on blogging about the Europe trip really soon. Have a great week ahead!
I leave you with this picture of a sunset taken in Bali. It may be sunset, but there is a always a promising day ahead of this!
On my first (and only) diving trip to Pulau Aur, a tropical island in Malaysia, my travel companions and myself were stung by many tiny jellyfish upon initial contact with the water. They were translucent and in great abundance in that part of the waters that we chose to dive. It was such a "stinging experience", but luckily nothing life-threathening. Remember Nemo and Dory's encounter with a school of jellyfish?
So it's quite, quite ironic that the jellyfish, so unpleasantly stinging, should look so cute when immortalised in porcelain here.
It's a rainy day. The first rainfall of 2009. What a start to the new year.
On a lazy, rainy day like this, what's better than lounging on an easy chair, sipping hot coffee and just relaxing?
It's randomly surfing the internet and discovering gems like this, this and this. Thanks to Google Reader, I caught up on tons of blog reading, amongst them is Etsy's "The Storque" blog, a wonderful promoter of handmade crafts. Check it out if you love handmade items!
Ann Landers "Let this coming year be better than all the others. Vow to do some of the things you've always wanted to do but couldn't find the time. Call up a forgotten friend. Drop an old grudge, and replace it with some pleasant memories. Vow not to make a promise you don't think you can keep. Walk tall, and smile more. You'll look ten years younger. Don't be afraid to say, 'I love you'. Say it again. They are the sweetest words in the world."
Powerful resolutions, but whether one can keep them...well let's just keep our fingers crossed, shall we?

In any case, a toast to a wonderful New Year, my dear friends!
