Some weeks ago, I visited Japan and had the opportunity to visit Ghibli Museum, a wonderfully whimsical museum that all Ghibli anime fans should go at least once in their lifetime. I will blog about the visit in another time. For now, I'd like to show you a paper sculpture made from a DIY paper sculpture pack bought from Ghibli Museum.
Instructions were in Japanese which I couldn't quite understand. Fortunately the illustrations were self explantory.
All the parts were cut up and ready to be folded
Assembling the octagonal platform
The Totoro and friends paper carousel that could rotate around the paper dowel in the centre
Carousel is fitted into the octagonal platform
With just scissors, glue and a series of strategic folds, paper sculpting is easy! (At least from DIY packs...)
